This site is owned and operated by the Quality Council of Alberta
(QCA). Your privacy on the Internet is of the utmost importance
to us. Because we gather certain types of information about
our users and members, we feel you should fully understand our
policy and the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and
use of that information.
This privacy statement discloses what information we gather and
how we use it.
Types of Information Gathered and How It's Used
The QCA collects three types of information
from users of this website and QCA members:
- Personal information (name, e-mail address, mailing address
and other contact details) provided in the course of becoming
a QCA member. The QCA will never share
or use this information for any reason other than to manage
your membership or contribution, such as contacting you to
request that you renew your membership.
We do not retain
credit card information supplied to us. All financial data
is collected via a secure web connection, and is stored or
transmitted using appropriate security measures at all times.
- Information that users provide through optional, voluntary
submissions. These are voluntary submissions to receive our
electronic newsletterand from participation in polls
and surveys.
- Information gathered through aggregated tracking
information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout
our site. This information allows us to better tailor our
content to readers' needs.
Under
no circumstances do we divulge any information about
an individual user to a third party.

This website contains links to other sites of interest to
users and members. The QCA does not control the privacy
practices of these other sites. You should make sure that you
know when you have left the QCA website and, if the website
you visit collects personal information, that you read that site's
privacy policy.
Security
The QCA protects your personal information
with several security measures. In addition to normal precautions
such as physical security and firewalls, we have a strict internal
security policy.

If you believe that the QCA has not complied with the provisions

other materials (the "Materials") published on this
site may be the subject of intellectual property rights reserved
by the QCA, its subsidiaries or licensors. Your terms
of use do not grant to you a license hereunder to otherwise use,
copy, distribute or transfer the Materials.
